2.Don't order your mind to stop thinking

Many a times, people suffer due to overthinking because they constantly order their mind to stop thinking .let me tell you, this is the worst way to handle the problem of overthinking. The better way is to give your mind some other thing to do.For instance, you may start solving your school assignment by which the attention of your mind will shift to the assignment.

3.Get attached to nature!

whenever you feel like you are thinking too much ,Go out and get attached to nature.Keep yourself away from any type of gadget for at least 15 minutes and enjoy a walk in a park or garden. It will indeed relax your mind .You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.Activities such as jogging which involve the movement of large muscle groups act as stress reliever.

4.Listen to music

Listening to music is better than retailing a medical therapy for overcoming Overthinking.Listening to music relaxes the tension muscles in your brain and makes you feel fresh and cheerful. While listening to music ,the happy hormones in your body get released and you begin to feel happy and joyful.

5.Sing!Sing!Sing!

Singing has been scientifically proven to lower stress, relieve anxiety, and elevate endorphins which make you feel uplifted and happy.  It helps relax muscle tension and decreases the levels of the stress hormones in the blood stream and can help take your mind off the day’s troubles to boost your mood.

6.Laugh!

"Laughter is the best medicine"
                                                   - Norman Cousins
Indeed!laughter is the best therapy to treat any illness .It releases dopamine(hormone responsible for happiness and well being )in the body and elevates your mood.Sunk in gloom? Spend some time with your loved ones and laugh a lot .Not only this, laughter also improves health and provides an internal glow to your face .Normally ,people who laugh a lot look more youthful and charming. Moreover, such people tend to be more loved by people.

7.Reduce intake of caffeine

A higher intake of caffeine ( a stimulant found in coffee, tea and cold drinks) has been proven to increase levels of anxiety ,depression and stress. It also leads to lack of sleep hence sometimes leading to Circadian Rhythm disorder(disturbed sleep pattern).Although many studies suggest that coffee can be healthy  in moderation, it’s not for everyone.

                                                                      8.Serve Others

Serving others releases 'feel good' hormones and makes you feel grateful and filled with gratitude. It also combats the problem of overthinking efficiently and makes you consider yourself a good person.Keep yourself so much busy in doing good with others that you barely get any spare time to think unnecessarily.

  1. This thing happens with me too, most probably in each and every situation! I over think a lot about even small things, but somewhere in between thinking about all these, there is this inner voice that says to me that you are just over thinking unnecessarily and stop it cz nothing is gonna go wrong! I realise that I am over thinking perhaps, but still I continue doing the same thing!

Once you are fully present in this moment there is no overthinking or suffering. Overthinking comes from thinking about past which is just memories and the future is your imagination. Stay present
